I am a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, registered with the ACP, and I adhere to its Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics.
I trained initially as a Clinical Psychologist before undertaking further training as a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist at the Tavistock Clinic, London, the leading centre for child psychotherapy training and research. I have been practising in the NHS and in private practice for over 20 years. I was a Head of Service and Clinical Director, Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy within NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service over many years, responsible for the delivery of child psychotherapy services in five Child and Family Consultation Services covering a large geographical area.
I provide clinical services to infants and their parents, children, adolescents and families; I also consult to institutions, supervise clinical work, and teach and train clinicians both in the UK and abroad.
For the past 13 years, I have been working independently as an expert witness and as a clinical associate for the Monroe Centre at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust. As a senior child psychotherapist, I have the requisite skills and experience to formulate care plans and intervene at a complex level of clinical need.
